Fry them in oil and butter and salt at a rather high temperature.
They also dry well for use in soups later.

I don't own a microscope or I would. Oysters were very good kinda bland next to hedgehogs or morals but still very good. I followed both suggestions on how to cook them. I fried a few and made some soup with green onions, carrots, asparagus, celery, chicken broth and a bigass hand full mushies. I liked Alan's suggestion the best. Life doesn't get much better the delicious mushrooms, bong hits and Civ 5.

You need one.
Call all your friends and ask them if they know anyone who has one.

are they growing from small twigs underneith the moss or just the moss itself? maybe D crobula?
but identify the moss, if its a Polytrichum sp. then its probably a D montana imo.its always associated with moss.

seems to me that they were growing from woody material underneath the moss not on top of the moss. My guess was Montana but the cap and stem color are Way off, look at Alan's pictures of Montana. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/8519158. I will just call them psilocybe Toolii

if its from the woody material i would maybe try to find some growing away from that moss as well. i wouldnt call them a Psilocybe anymore, definetly a Deconica and maybe even D crobula.

Not much of a spore print, sorry for the water spots on the paper. If I had to guess what color the prints are I would say light purple.

I did leave them over night with a mason jar over the top of them. Maybe they just don't produce much of a spore.

Looks like psilocybe (deconica) physaloides, similar to what I found in 2010: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/13078505/page/1

ya i agree ,but i think D montana and D crobula look similar to D physaloides. i would have guessed D physaloides but like you, i find mine in fields with grass , not moss and twigs.

The stems look a lot like D crobula but the caps are a lot different then that species. undulating margins, broadly umbonate, strated margin, hygrophanous, gelatinous pellicle.
