I'm enlisting in the Marine Corps and I thought my avatar is pretty representative of my life-choice.

Not too much of a story for me, I just like chemistry and was messing about with some molecule viewer program and liked the little animation I got from it.

No story, just a fan of Cynic and the artist Robert Venosa who does their album covers. I would love to some day see his work in person. I don't think any other way would do it justice.
Quote:
Robert Venosa studied painting technique with Mati Klarwein in New York, and Ernst Fuchs in Vienna, both of whom are proponents of the Misch Technique (also known as the Master's Technique) discovered by the seventeenth-century Flemish masters Hubert and Jan Van Eyck, which utilizes the system of painting in tempera and oil glazes.
This technique is perfect for painting the crystalline worlds that Venosa envisions: Light goes through the surface oil glazes, bounces off the white tempera underpainting and comes back out hitting the eye with the illusion of transparent depth.
Celestial Tree.

The other avatar I have used.
Tripy homer rocks, especially in his santa hat. I just like the Homer, I can sometimes relate.

Speaking of your avatar, there's a place in Essex called Braintree.
I wouldn't go there, it's a shithole.

The man in my avatar is none other than Tom Waits. I just found out we was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, for whatever thats worth. His style is best described as badass as truly unique.

The third eye is a symbol of enlightenment and higher consciousness. I'm a spiritual person, but I hold no religious beliefs. I thought that this avatar represents my search for the answers in my own somewhat rational mind. I'm no where near perfect and can only try, but I know the answers will not come from an outside source. I accept and appreciate wisdom from others, but when it comes down to it it's up to me to find my own path.
Plus it looks cool.

That's weird. Before I looked properly at your avatar I thought it was Mad Max.
