The first time I heard it I was frying and without a doubt I knew they were too.. would it be humanly possible to make something like that if you weren't??
I don't know if you've seen the video for the song Bleed... its not my favorite meshuggah track but its imagery really reminds me of some of the darker things I've seen throughout my psychedelic voyages - especially the jumping clocks... them clocks always jumpin'! (some of its a lil' cheesy though )
Thats going to give me nightmares!!

I just noticed that the Melvin's were mentioned.
The Melvins are so
fucking
awesome
ESPECIALLY when they tread into very doomy metal territory.
Melvins - Dies Irae
Quote:
The Melvins do a classic cover off their new album NUDE WITH BOOTS: Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) is a famous thirteenth century Latin hymn thought to be written by Thomas of Celano. It is a medieval Latin poem, differing from classical Latin by its accentual (non-quantitative) stress and its rhymed lines. The meter is trochaic. The poem describes the day of judgment, the last trumpet summoning souls before the throne of God, where the saved will be delivered and the unsaved cast into eternal flames. ALSO, the opening score to "The Shining"!!

I've read a couple places where Robert Fripp has stated multiple times that he detests drug use and says that drugs are pointless, cloud creativity and musical ability etc. Although a large percent of Crimson's catalogue is insanely trippy I really do believe they are all 100% sober dudes. Makes sense too, they have really technical music that would be very hard-impossible to play if you were tripping balls or stoned beyond belief. All live videos i've seen of Crimson, Fripp always appears to be completely still in complete concentration while performing.
it's completely plausible that Fripp has never had a psychedelic experience. He certainly has at least been influenced by the altered states of others. Bill Bruford on the other hand, Im sure he was dropping acid in Yes.. CLOSE TO THE EDGE!

If there were no desire to heal The damaged and broken met along This tedious path I've chosen hereI certainly would've walked away by now. And I still may ... (sigh) ... I still may.Be patient. I must keep reminding myself of this.
