An alert for parents tonight, after a deadly drug has taken the life of one young person.
The drug is called 2 C-E and investigators say it killed a young woman in Seminole county and caused a violent reaction in 7-others.
Newschannel 8's Kim Jackson says2 C-E is getting more attention, now.
Tulsa police say they have not encountered 2 C-E. A lot of people don't know what it is. But if you go to the Internet, you can find details, pictures, and it's no secret, you can order it online.
The small town of Konowa is buzzing after 8-young people overdosed on a drug called 2 C-E.
"It's really scary and I'm really thankful that my kids were not at that party. It's a scary thing that could happen here," said Jane Calhoun, a concerned mother.
It could happen anywhere. In march, in Minnesota a young man overdosed and died from 2 C-E. And so far, it is not illegal. and here is why.
"If the FDA cannot go in and identify what the chemical make up is and categorize it into one of the illegal substances, then it's not illegal. It's not illegalized," said Brad Collins, program director at Palmer Continuum of Care.
Collins, works in substance abuse. He says 2 C-E has deadly consequences. And he says that parents should use this latest death, as an example to their children.
"If it can be accessed on the Internet, and if there are people putting testimonials about how cool it is, there's also the potential to get through that medium, the dangers of it," he explained.
If you look, you can find the testimonials about 2 C-E. But in the Seminole county case, one of the 8 people who overdosed, died. And there are still questions about what happened there.
"I'm wondering where are the parents where this party happened? My heart goes out to the mothers who have lost kids and have children in the hospital," said Calhoun.
Experts we talked to say you can order this drug from the Internet. So parents the message is talk to your kids, pay attention to them, and also, the mailbox.

Driving without a seat-belt and riding a motorcycle without a helmet can seem cool to some as well.
