12/12 light cycle is good.
and sunlight is better than whatever you are lighting your room with.

this is true.
but your sunlight is not as direct as you think. it travels through your glass window.
and then it travels through your plastic tub.
not very direct.
so ill say again.
sunlight is better than whatever you are lighting your bedroom with.

5mins of direct sunlight a day is best for pinning, but indirect sunlight through a window is great for your mushies.
if your using a cfl bulb try to get as close to 6500K spectrum/color temp as you can.

if they are opening early that usually a sign of a substrate being too moist/wet.
and the mushrooms you pick all at once is your "flush", I believe your referring to dunking. but yes, you want to dunk your substrate after each harvest/flush.

one mushroom dropping its spores has NOTHING to do with when another mushroom will drop its spores.

so i can only really be sure they've stopped growing when the indivually start to open up? they hav'nt grown for two days now would you guess that's it for them?
but i should still pick them all at once then dunk the cake before waiting for new flush

doesnt rly matter. you can pick as they mature or you can pick all at once.
its all preference.

Incandescent lamps are the absolute worst for growing, switch your bulb out with a 23 watt cfl you will seee huge noticeable improvements, i promise.
