Went hunting with a friend for the third time ever. I'm pretty sure that 2 of those are active but the rest not. Any advice would be appreciated.
Clef.

dont ever pick anything with a brown stem.
i'm not going to speculate on those, you need to make a seperate thread in the " Mushroom hutning and identification " forum, and wait for one of the Trusted Identifiers to reply.

Yeah the environment where I pick them is quite different to the suburban/gum tree areas where I see most of the other finds coming from. These ones tend to grow in the longer, wet tufts of grass in shaded areas out in the open (eg, not directly under trees or bushes) and are usually solitary or coupled with another sub.

heh, they most certainly did. I now have a new and wonderful perspective on a lot of things. I took a spore print of a really pristine and strong looking mushroom so hopefully this strain will be with me for a while

Actually a few of those look like subs, I can see possible blueing on the base of a few of them. However do what DosileFlynn said. Also, looks like you may want to own a pair of scissors

Might just be my eyes but the ones in the top right (and a few others) seem to have an annulus - possibly galerinas?

please dont speculate on his finds guys.
With the possibility of them being poisonous, it is a job best left to the Trusted Identifier professionals to advise him. Misinformation doesn't help anyone.

I can see them aswell. I highly doubt any of them are subs. Take spore prints and post pictures

This thread is not for ID requests Anyone looking for a mushroom ID should start their own thread in the Mushroom Hunting and Identification forum. Your request should follow this format and include as much information as possible.

You have at least 3 species in that photo. The majority of them belong to the genus Galerina... potentially deadly mushrooms. Take better pics of the two you suspect are active and start an ID request (including the information it asks for).

You mostly have some deadly Galerina, but the ones with white stems are Psathyrella.
Do not eat any of them.
