Some IDs please
This is the first time I have found something promising, have checked this site a few years running, but never had much luck. I put a bit more effort into learning this year.
First is a huge haul of one, with this one I see a lot of black but not much blue:
Habitat (bark chips, moist, near flax, in a driveway, Chch):

Here it is - blacking(or bluing?) before picked on cap, stem dry and split (been a few days since rain) (sorry about lighting):

Bruising black in cut:

spore print: looks dark brown/blue (24hrs, but stem still too long I think)

Cap and stem after 24hrs:

Second location:
Wood chip garden, along a fence, moist area, under a bush that has fruit that look very similar to the mushrooms. Hollow stems

Fresh photo some dark patches on caps:

Half an hour after 1 prod each with toothpick and squeezing stems (all prods went black):

After 5 hours of drying - stems have veined black/dark dark blue:

Spore print pending.
I do wonder if I should have left em to get bigger (was 5 days after rains, but they did seem to be blackening/drying out).
Thanks!

cool!!! All the galerina around makes me very cautious
I assume there is nothing poisonous in NZ that bruises black and looks very similar to subs?

The bruising on these is blue. The stipe of some Galerina species discolour blackish but they don't bruise blue. If you're ever unsure do a spore print.

I did leave about 15 smaller ones
Everything did seem to be drying out, and the bigger ones had gone completely black and yucky in the ground.
Lesson learned tho, now I have had some success I will leave em til they are bigger next time.
Thanks for your replies
