transferring mycelium to a new jar, is it safe?

well I have some healthy mycelium growing in a tupperware container, its from wild myc from a woodlover mushroom, so I've used some chunks of cardboard to keep it going, and it seems to be doing well. the only problem is I can't see through the lid to check if its healthy and still growing, so that means I have to open the lid up to check it every few days.
I want to transfer this mycelium to a sealed glass jar which will make it much easier to watch progress without opening the jar. Is it safe for me to pick up the pieces of cardboard with clean hands and transfer it to the jar as quickly as possible, or should I just leave it in the tupperware container and be safe

Transfer the mycelium in a glove box. Clean everything with alcohol as you put it into the
box. Clean the inside of the box, wash hands/use gloves, forearms, containers, tools.
PC the jar you will be transferring to and whatever you will be using as a medium.

I don't own a glove box but I have a fairly sterile workspace, with little air flow in the room and I don't think it will be a problem. I've also sprayed the area with a hospital grade disinfectant spray just to be sure.
The tupperware it was in originally still had some pasta sauce stuck on the lid that I didn't notice when I put it in there and it did fine.
I've PCed the jar and am now transferring it, hopefully wont run into any problems with contams.
thanks for the reply Carl.

Go to walmart, spend $5 on a clear plastic tub, take it home and cut holes for your arms. Boom, instant glovebox.
If you want to do anything even a little advanced, a glovebox is the first tool you need.
