No there isn't...
There is no such things as selfless. AT ALL
If you do something for ANYONE other than yourself. You still get a feeling inside. That is why you do it. To get that feeling. That is the most egotistical thing you could do. Fucking emotion junkies, doing selfless things

I don't say that it is selfish, but I think there are some who would say it is. I remember a thread a couple months ago about this topic and a few people claimed that even in dying for someone else, you are still selfish. Something about creating a good image for yourself after you are gone. Also it was something along the lines of you want to kill yourself, but this way the fact that you saved someone else by it prevails. I think these are two of the ideas, but it's a rough account at best and I can't remember for sure.
In any event, I do not say dying for someone else is selfish, I say it is quite selfless.

Good topic. I'd never really considered the fact that everything we do is always beneficial for our own being, therefore everything we do is selfish.
And I do agree that the only selfless act you can do is die for someone..

everything we do i'd say is directly or indirectly for our benefit, e.g. you say something nice to somebody and they look at you in a good way after that and when you get into a sticky situation where you could use their help they help you out and you end of benefitting(one hand washes the other... or however u say that), but thats like a mutual benefit too cuz you helped eachother out
I think selfish is a little bit too strong of a word.. but it is JUST a word, so i'd say if you think dying for somebody else is selfish then you think everything you do is selfish

Love is when you see yourself getting old with that person, love is when you can't imagine life without that person, love is when you feel complete, love is trust, honesty and comunication. I absolutely believe that love exists. Infatuation is close to that feeling of love, and is most often mistaken as love. When you get that ticklish feeling in your stomach when your near that person, when you can't talk and blush constantly, you become shy, however infatuation fades. True love does not. Love is all about Chemistry, the smells of eachother that bring you close to gether. Why is that men smell a womans hair when they hug? Or are drawn to the smell of her poonanni? Hehe. But seriously, love exists if you want it to, and if your not afraid of it.

The fact that you become complete. The part of you thats been lost is now found. Finally someone that understands you better than you understand yourself, someone who's not so judging of you like you are of yourself....there really is so much to love.

Ugh sure....its more than just physical....the sex part fades after a while and you begin to realize that when your in love or married sex is mostly for procreating....not saying that every relationship ends up that way, and not saying that its a bad thing, but hey there's still masturbation. 3 cheers for masturbation. hahahaha

I don't think love is spiritually void....its spiritually uplifting....and I think that maybe your looking at it as a selfish sorta thing because of the 'juice'.
