How long can jars be left in PC before they have to be PC'ed again?

I'm wondering how long I can leave my jars, syringes and tyvek closed up in the PC, after cooking of course, before it would be best to cook them again.
I would assume that the answer to this would be more or less: damn near forever provided the lid was never removed from the PC.
What has happened here is this, I went on and sterilized a batch of jars, syringes, tyvek, water, and so on... Then it occurred to me, "why not just take the whole sealed PC into work where I've got a really super clean office and make my syringes and inoc my jars there.

forever. Eventually after about a month or two the jars would dry out.

In theory you should be able to go forever but contams always seem to find a way in if you wait too long. I would try to inoculate in no less then a day or two. I always try to not prepare anything before I am ready to use it but I know things don't always go that way. J

Yea, the grain would probably dry out before it would actually need to be sterilized again. But still, it's best to use them ASAP. A few hours or a couple days won't do any harm though.

One thing to always keep in mind when sterilizing our grains is that the grains are not 100% sterilized. We're just making our odds better for the mushis to grow out vs. mold or bacteria.
100% sterilized grain would have to be in the PC for hours; it would be useless, because it'd be mush after that long of a PC time @ 15 PSI.
I've taken my jars outta the PC & left them for a week in my colonizatin room & they were still fine.

Also, you won't want to re-PC the grains, as that would cause them to dry out. If you don't use them soon enough, you have to toss them & start over.

Why dont you just make a simple glovebox. Taking it to work sounds kind of sketch to me.

yea, I thought you meant take it into your "work area" where you do myco work in your house.
No, do not take any growing supplies out of your house. Especially inoculated jars or spores in a syringe...It's illegal to have those 2 things in the same area.
