Transporting PC after PCing jars.

Just a simple question. I tried searching with no ado. Anyway, after I'm done pressure cooking my 1/2 pint jars, where can I put the hot pressure cooker? I live with roommates and well, not only do I not want them seeing the PC and then asking why in the world I'm using a PC, I would also need to move the PC so that other people can use the stove.
Do you guys suppose I just put it in my room with several layers of terry cloth towels underneath it? REALLY simple question, sorry if I'm wasting anyone's time with this.

Yeah that sounds fine. Some kind of cutting board might be better though just incase, or some kind of glass surface. Towels would probably be fine though if its not TOO hot.

I will be transporting it right after pressure cooking, so it will be pretty hot. If I shouldn't do that, how long after PCing should I wait until transporting it upstairs to my bedroom?

I wouldn't recommend putting a hot PC on top of room temp glass. Differentiating temperatures...
Go invest in a portable gas range for your room. They're like $40 & use that in your room w/ the door shut. Also, growing in a house w/ roommates that aren't cool w/ it isn't a smart idea. That's the easiest way to get busted. Keep lurking & reading & you'll be ready when you have your own place.Quote:

Depends on how long it takes for your PC to cool down. I'd say 2-3 hours though.

I have a General Electric "Single Burner" die cast burner plate that plugs into the wall. Will this suffice?

you shouldn't use PCs on anything but gas open flame ranges or portable burners.
glass or ceramic heating elements can mess them up. Read your PC's instruction manual.
