need a pic.. i cant see that one.. but you probably are drying out which could cause the yellow.. and the weird fruits are probably just mutants.. did you say your fruiting from straight grain or is it actually a cake with verm and other things in it? if its just grain this mostly explains why its performing poorly.. try and repost that pic so we can get a look at it!

well first i want to say, it is a rule that you shouldnt self bump within 24 hours of posting. let alone 1 hour and 50 minutes. just dont do it.
now to answer your concerns. you need to consider the fact that you are growing from a MS syringe. you are going to get many mutants. also if your FAE and humidity are off it will cause lots of weird things to happen. make sure you have proper FAE and humidity and you should be good.
i have never seen something like this before in my own growing or on this site so i would wait for someone with a better answer but it just looks like a little bit of retarded growth.

had the same problem. they're probably going to mature into freaks...

Posted a thread yesterday as a matter of fact: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/14429029
i'm starting to think this is a conspiracy! haha for some reason, it seems like there's been a bunch of posts lately about mutant fruits....
it's the end of days.

i think people arent consolidating their jars lately, this could very well cause your mutations.
that being said thats what they are, mutations.
they are still good. just let them grow, sometimes they get big.

Cakes need consolidation in jars. Grains do not in jars, but colonized bulk does need a couple days of consolidation...
interesting theory, though

cakes = need consolidation.
what kinda cakes are those anyway?
@TL - i think most people realize that their grains dont need a consolidation time, but for bulk subs i've heard varying time periods, i like to give them at least 5 days though.

yea, around 4 days is standard. I like my bulk substrates go until I see a couple of pins in the tubs. Normally 14-18 days after spawning.

the OPs picture is clearly not enough fresh air. mixed with too much water.
it looks to me like his cake is sitting directly on the perlite (too much water)
and there is no holes in the tub (not enough fresh air.)

and to the person above me. lysol doesnt do that.

I don't think that too much water and insufficient FAE will cause blobs. It causes skinny stems, shorter fruits and if bad enough - mold infection. I've had plenty of situations where I've had over-wet/under FAE'd mycelium without blobs. They usually come from strains that were 'damaged' intentionally to get another strain, like PE. That's why I lean more toward either just a genetic substrain error or environmental genetic damage.

I've gotten smaller weird mushis from excess water in preparing my bulk substrate.
It's better to be a little on the dry side when making your bulk substrate IMHO

Interesting - well, then - I can't argue, just because it hasn't happened to me doesn't mean it can't happen to someone else.
OP - you said you're using LED christmas lights - are they only red and green?

According to some trusted cultivators, a common cause of blobs and mutants can be an over-nutritious substrate. That makes some sense in your case, considering you indicate they are grain-based. You might try varying ratios, and adding something less nutritious than gain to the mix. If you have vermiculite in there, try adding a higher ratio of that.
