This was just uploaded to ted http://www.ted.com/talks/eben_bayer_are_mushrooms_the_new_plastic.html
I mean they don't use cubes...but it does mean someone could use cubes :P I thought you may enjoy...also the thought of this plus cubes makes me drool^^

You look closer and it is made up of just as unique and wide span of sub-features bursting with potential to become paintings themselves. The brain has this potential but also has constant surpression so that you can concentrate. But with such scope of creation how can any rigid morality produce a fair and unchained future. I'm sure this has been posted before since the posting date is back in October, but it's the first time I've seen it. This is a great idea, I'm shocked I didn't think of it before. I'd love to see styrofoam replaced by mycelium.

hhmmm? I wonder why it was so short? They didn't show any of the mycelium being used
as a final project. Im not trying to be a skeptic, but you'd figure they would want to
present the final product. I'll do some recon on on this.

Oh sorry to post in the wrong place..but it's pretty cool right And thanks for that other clip;) They didn't mention on TED that they kill the mycelium...that's kind of a shame but still a step in the right direction I'm sure

Yeah, that would be funny if they didn't kill it.....You'de open up your TV box and find 1000 mushrooms growing around it...
-------------------- The mushrooms, which grow only during the season of torrential rains, awaken the forces of creation and produce an experience of spiritual abundance, of an astonishing, inexhaustible constitution of forms that identifies them with fertility and makes them a mediation, a means of communion, of communication between man and the natural world of which they are the metaphysical flesh.
