So occasional use would be okay, right? Is it even legal in Australia? Haha. We are gaybos with drugs. Some douche in our government wants to ban a native plant. Because you can make DMT from it. If we want DMT we'll get it anyway! Sorry for the rant.

That's right. I can tell from personal experience that if you eat less than two hours before going to bed, sleep comes less easily, will be less effective and you run a very real risk of morning sickness. Eating large quantities just before bedtime is a really bad idea.
Bullshit.
You come over here and explain that to my intestines. I'd be thankful if they understood. I normally eat around 9pm and go to bed between 11pm and midnight. If I have dinner any later than 9pm and still go to bed around 1130, I am guaranteed to sleep bad, have nightmares, and wake up with a stomach full of undigested food. Digestion slows down during sleep, which is a well-documented medical fact, which corroborates my experience. In addition, a horizontal body position makes it more difficult for the stomach to transport the chyme into the small intestine, since gravity doesn't aid the process when you're lying down.
To me, this makes sense, and it fits with my personal experience. Please explain why it is bullshit.

I have to be so tired I pass out to go to sleep. It sucks. I wake up every night at 3:15 in a panic from crazy dreams or the feeling of invasion. I think I'm just paranoid or something. I dunno. I have lucid dreams every damn night and I never never feel rested. I am always fighting something or running from something in my dreams too.
What gives??? I would love to have a decent nights sleep as well.

Hmmm. I eat right before I go to bed most nights.
If that's my problem I am going to feel retarded. Not only does it make it impossible to lose weight, but I am sleeping like ass because of it as well? Eh
Ty for the info. I'm going to try not eating after 9 pm.

Rant on, anti-anti-drug law rants always a good thing
If you can get it and im not sure on the laws, you could get a phone book or use google to find phone numbers for herbal food stores and stuff and ask them if they sell it, It will have a label with warnings and all that good shit. I suggest you not exceed the recommended maximum use.
that said I eat the shit like candy in the winter and have had no ill effects. I know this tho because I get regular blood work due to some other health issues and the fact I can since I get free health care from my gov of drug czar.

Nothing I've ever taken to help me sleep has ever worked.
Don't eat right before bed, that's retarded.
Don't use your bed for anything but sleeping.
Those two have helped me out tremendously.

Lots of opinions here.
Opinions are like assholes.
My asshole is supported by researched and documented evidence such that there is a clinical definition that describes the phenomenon I'm referencing.
Your assholes are flacid or at least seemingly so. <3
Back up your opinions with facts m8ys. Until then, stay off the high seas.

I got back to a fairly good schedule by staying about about 27 and a half hours.
I wouldn't recommend that though.

I have a big bottle of melatonin. I've noticed the more out of whack your sleep schedule is, the better is works. If it doesn't work, then there's probably something more external or emotional keeping you up at night.

Bullshit. Eating large quantities just before bedtime is the common method of food ingestion all over the world and has been for milennia. "Dinner" or a meal eaten closest to bedtime, usually served between 6 and 10 PM is the most popular universal dining time. Most people in most places have scanty if any breakfast, a light to medium-light lunch followed by the largest meal of the day which is dinner.
"Just before bedtime" is more like 2 hours before bedtime. Usually individuals will stay up after eating and either talk communally or engage in some kind of cultural activity before the majority of the members of the familial or tribal unit go to bed.
There is so much bullshit going around the shroomery boards these days. I swear it's like people just make it up and others nod in ascent and before you know it the whole pond is full of tadpoles nodding their head.
There's a difference between eating 2 hours before bed, and eating RIGHT before bed. If you stuff yourself, then try and fall asleep it's gonna be pretty difficult... Your body is working on digesting the food, and laying down not only slows this process but just makes you feel kinda "blehh" in general. I wouldn't reccommend eating a fat meal then trying to fall asleep as you'll probably just feel crappy.
OP - a few other people have already said this, but try Melatonin. It's what your brain produces to help you fall asleep naturally.

Alrighty I have a few things to try now. I tried the body scan before. It got me to sleep but obviously I've woken up haha. I will do continue to use it for the times I am really desperate.
I want to try kava-kava so bad now haha. Health food store here I come.
