How late have you seen pinning?
    #14433266 - 05/11/11 03:13 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

Just wondering how late after birth have people seen pins begin to form.  I'm having a little trouble getting my pf cakes to pin and was wondering how far out these things might go.

Mostly refering to PF cakes but I'd like to know about casings too..  (How long after birthing have you seen pins to form?).  example: Like you birthed sunday and they fruited next sunday so 7 days after birth.

This is refering to a first flush too.

If you waited a full week after full colinisation before dunking then birthing, you should see pins within a week as long as your fruiting chambers conditions are good.

Make sure they are getting plenty of FAE and misting, along with bright light on a daylight schedule (make sure you are using the right light too. One that produces light in the daylight range, 6500k)

sometimes it just takes longer. upto 2 weeks, but on average it should be within the week for pinning

7-10 days after introducing FAE for monos usually.
