I'd give them both another week. If you put an immature tub into fruiting conditions it'll just fart around for a week before knotting and pinning anyway.
BTW that's a really healthy looking strain. You went less than 1:2 on your spawn ratio (3:8) and the tubs got that far in 9 days.

Yeah these are Puerto Rican. Original jars were done in around 17 days then i did a g2g and they were done in 6 days. I couldn't believe how quick they were to colonize. I started the original jars on April 4th and I am at this point already . I've never had any other strains go this quick.

Have you tried Facenecks approach yet? He says you should actually fruit it earlier and let it sit there doing nothing during that time because it makes the substrate spongier/ more receptive to water.
I ask because I myself have not tried it yet. I've always let it colonize fully like u suggest.

Yeah, I've tried that and all it accomplishes is drying out the substrate early. Your mileage may vary.

I don't get the point of drenching the substrate at that point. If you mix it to field capacity to begin with, the cake has all the water it needs to get through the first flush. Monos are kinda designed to be hands off to begin with.
Still though, give it a shot and report back. As you were.

I hear ya.
I wanted to be one of the cool kids with these super high spawn ratio coir grows for shows offsies.
But I notice with the really high spawn ratio you get really thick vegetation on top. It's what the noobs all want to call overlay. They don't flush good enuff for me. So the suggestion is to birth earlier so the coir doesn't consolidate so much and water the hell out of it till it fruits.
That's the theory anyway. I'm ambivalent towards it for now, till I've tried it. The pragmatic part of me says, just cut down the spawn ratio a bit, but what fun would that be.

I do monotubs with 3 quarts of spawn with 1 Brick of Coco-Coir. I also use 18 gal tubs...I can tell you with 100% confidence it takes at least 14 days to get to 100% colonization with that spawn to bulk ratio.
If you used 4 quarts of spawn it generally takes 7-10 days to 100% colonization. Basically you need 5-6 more days of colonization.

Makes sense for it to take longer to fully colonize if your spawn ratio is higher. I generally go 1:1 but have gone 1:2 a few times. I too have found the higher ratios take longer to colonize. Damion5050's coir tek calls for 5q spawn to 8q coir which is nearly 1:2, and I think 10 days is EXTREMELY conservative for that ratio based on experience.
