tell em you are looking for a stable position and talk about relevant experience and how you think it relates to the potential job...just tell them good things about yourself related to work
tell them you would take a bullet for the company and then threaten to shoot them

Start off the interview by asking questions like this:
Is there a dress code? How much vacation time do we get? How many hours do we get for lunch? Do sick days have to be used for illness, or can they be used for when I just need a break? Are things in the fridge fair game, or do you have to bring your own food? Do I have to work with a bunch of people? I do better working alone.
That should nail it...

not even sure what your asking,
how to do well in a phone interview? or how to get an interview through the phone? whenever i've had to apply at some place i just wait about a week and then call to see if they have went over my application and drop my name. if they say no, ill call back in a few days and ask again. repeat the process until either they actually look at your app or get so annoyed that they are left no choice but to interview you...if anything continual pestering will make it seem like you really want the job,
i dont believe people that say its too hard to get a minimum wage or slightly higher paying job...just takes a little proactivity.

Looking for jobs sucks but thankfully I've never been denied a job that I really want and I've never been fired. You just have to manifest that shit by showing them how fuckin awesome you are then the key is to only accept jobs that you really truly enjoy doing because everyone wants to hire awesome people. Working it like that will make your quality of life skyrocket because slaving away at a job you hate is the worst thing one can do to themselves.

Depends on the job.
Typically you want to ask intelligent questions that show you're interested and motivated.
If you are pursuing a serious career, asking about lunch breaks and the fridge policy will make you look like a retard.
