Mini-GH temperature issue, i think i solved it

My room temp is about 78 but my probe in the GH reads 82-84. It does feel a lot warmer in there than in the room too. Should I go grab an AC to cool the room, or should I try cooling the internal temp of the GH with, say, frozen water bottles or ice packs? Or is this temp acceptable? I have no clue.

If you pointed a fan at the GH, you might be able to lower the temperature closer to ambient. Also, do you have slits cut in the plastic for air exchange?
82-84 isn't the worst thing ever, but it'd probably fruit better at temps that are in the mid-70s.

I don't. It's open at the bottom with a tray of perlite down there, and I have one 1.5" hole cut in the top back for exhaust of hot humid air. Would cutting a couple more holes in the top of the sides help without releasing too much humidity?

It could definitely help....
I really think the best way to do it with a GH like this is to cut out square flaps, and then use stick-on (or even better, sew on some) velcro on the sides of the flap to make it so that you can open the flaps when you want to "tune" the system the way you want it. That way if things change with your humidification method(s), you can make adjustments as necessary. This is what I plan on doing, anyhow, when my new one arrives (my old one finally bit the dust.)
Another option could also be something similar to a bathroom exhaust fan plumped into the GH on a timer, or a humidibucket without a heater (search for this one.) If you ran the fan on the humidibucket constantly or at least have it on more than you have the fogger running, it'll help even out the temperature and provide FAE.

velcro is genius. I think I may just put ice in the water in my humidifier to drop the temp a few degrees and let a cool breeze flow through the GH for the next 2 hour cycle. bad idea?

ah-ha. The myco-fridge next door to my GH was plugged in. Since it's usually empty, I think I'll just unplug it until I need it, then figure something out.
It's been unplugged 20 minutes and the temp has already fallen half a degree

Ahh! Yeah, that'll DEFINITELY do it. Refrigerant compressors generate a ton of heat....

So after the fridge being off helped, it got even hotter where I reside...so I threw down and got a window AC unit with a temp control, figured I'd leave it at 75 for the summer. I do worry a bit much. But should the drop in ambient RH in the room affect the RH in my mini-GH?

I think I got this. So long as the temp of the exterior stays roughly equal to the interior, the dewpoint should stay as close to 100% as possible I believe. I got the ac on and my air purifier blowing at the humidifier which is on for the next couple hours. It's a cool mist so it provides about 88-92% RH on its own and tons of FAE. It's run 2 hours on, 1 off. Room is 77 and the GH is 78.
