I Love Bush!

Although this may sound political Im pretty sure it belongs here....
I was having a chat with a few friends about the war the other night and one of them was pondering whether or not Bush and Co were more "evil" than the average guy. Some of us said "Of course he is!" others didnt agree. Some of us said this so called "evil" is in all of us, We are all one are we not? It just so happens that when George and his buddies act on this inherent greed and evil the effects are wide ranging and easy to see. However, when the guy you sit next to at work pulls a stunt that may require the same initial level of greed or "evil" to initiate it you are not likely to suddenly consider him the anti christ as the effects of his actions are likely to be fairly limited. Of course if you are the direct recipient of his actions you may have a different opinion! Still some disagreed, they believed that although the average guy may indeed do some fairly unsavoury stuff people in power are more evil. Either they are genetically predisposed which is why they pursue power or it is the pursuit of power itself that corrupts them. I think there may be some truth in this, Im not convinced people can be genetically predisposed but I do think the pursuit of power can lead people to become more "evil" Even if that is the case, the average Joe would become more "evil" if he went thru that same process. The conclusion some of us reached was the things that we hate about politics and government are being played out on a personal level everyday. Sometimes we play Bush, sometimes Saddam and everynow and again we might be Ghandi! But to direct our anger outwards towards Bush etc is in the end counterproductive, the anger just keeps going round and round as can be seen in the Political forum! All we can really do is change our inner self first, until we have reached some kind of state where we never play the roles of greed and excessive anger in our daily lives then when we become frustrated with the action of people we perceive as seperate from us in the world we are really only being frustrated with ourselves.
Maybe "evil" is just misguided?
What do u guys reckon?
PEACE

I agree with you BUT that doesn't mean that Bush is no idiot. Personally, I just dislike Bush, I do NOT hate him , as I hate nobody.

This thread certainly is political philosophy. So of course it can stay.
The trick is to get people to think deep enough that they keep it that way.
Nice thread Gazz!

I love his moustache and his information minister. You know how the information minister is saying that the Iraqis are surrounding the american troops and bombarding them and chasing them out? Well, I think they should take some kind of drug that erases this guy's memory of his own capture, and then have him wake up on a TV set of Baghdad, and then they should have reporters (actually actors) go up to him and ask how the war is going, and we should have a cable TV channel where we can watch him for the next 20 years saying stuff like "Soon the spine of the american advance will be crippled. Our deadly warriors are cutting the Americans to pieces and soon they will all surrender before us." Funny stuff.

I dont love Bush, Osama, or Saddam. I think they are all dickheads.
I do love watching their melodramatic showdowns though. Funny stuff.
So in a sense I agree with you, if you define love in a way that can fit these wierdos in. You see I would never love Bush the way I would love my girlfriend. I love reality though, thats not to say I love it through and through, but as a whole I think reality is great. That trio of morons are zits on the otherwise beautiful face of reality.

We should give mushrooms to all the bad guys in the world. Just Capture Saddam and fill him full of mush until he becomes saddened about what he has done. It might give him another persona afterwards.
......or you could lock him up with all those wicked dudes in the pen.

They're all tyrants and terrorists, but there's a good side in all of them.
Did you know OBL used to build hospitals?
Even Adolf Hitler would never look at another woman except his wife.
So in essence, if you love these qualities in general, you love a part of these people.
