Hey all, here's what I spotted today...

Also found what appears to be albino subs? They have light yellow-cream gills at full maturity which seems a bit odd. Stems and caps were lighter than usual too.

Another unsuccessful hunt for me today. Tried all around the place, and found HEAPS of mushrooms, just none active. I tried North-East outer suburbs, N-E inner suburbs, all nothing. I'm looking around damp woodchipped areas in parks, as well as out in the bush, but no luck yet :/. The most common one I was finding that looked similar had a slightly-too-red cap and also a distinctly yellowish stem. But all other aspects checked out. Oh well, always another day.

be more careful when you search, because those reddish capped ones are generally a good indicator of subaeruginosa mushrooms. They both grow in the same habitat. Look closely and you should be able to find them.

I've let them sit for the past 7 hours and there's no print. Others have printed up fine. Perhaps it's a mutation with no basidia to create the spores. Probably not sterile too.

I've picked ones like that, double checked them like 50 times while they were drying even though i knew they bruised and had the right spore colour coz they were so different to the others. Its weird, ones from the same patch would have dark brown gills, but these would have creamy/yellow. Mine spore printed though. Might dig through my photos and upload to show you.

I know this, hence photography is a hobby of mine. My compact canon camera just doesn't cut the chase when taking photos of this kind of environment, bad/temperamental autofocus, not enough light getting in the lens etc. The point is I've wanted a good camera for a long time but lack the funds Being envolved with people that are producing awesome pictures like these just influences my drive to get one even more.
Also check out this little guy I found the other day, the cap would have been about .5cm wide

if plants could glow I'd probably have them all growing in my room by now It was the richest blue I've ever seen in a mushroom, I've only ever seen 2 or 3 before, anyone know what it is?
