Question.

I guess that I got ripped off from **********.com. on to the next one. More or less, if my jars have been sitting for two weeks and don't show signs of contamination would it be okay to just sterilize them again, or am I just being lazy?

thanks. After reading posts about **********.com it seems pretty universal that its a scam. I am having a hard time taking a pic that shows this well, but some of the jars are kind of milky at the bottom (i used over 2cc on some of the jars) that at first i thought might be growth but now I am thinking that some of my substrate was to wet or compacted and my rice was coarse so maybe its just soggy brown rice. it seems to slightly resemble culture, but not really fuzzy or patched. i used textured jelly jars that are kind of hard to see clearly through. i was really just planing to wait until i get new syringes and if they aren't more productive to trash the sustrate so that i can reuse the jars.
geez was lazy and now im cheap. lol... i guess thats why i shopped at a scam site. has anyone ever sucsessfully grown anything from **********.com?

Colonization can take a verrrry long time depending on conditions and the quality of the spore solution used. Though if you're really too lazy to make new jars you can indeed sterilize those ones-- but don't be surprised if it takes just as long the second time

the two times i have needed to order sports i used thehawkseye.com ... more than 2 weeks though and there is a small chance you will get anything going, but you never know. after you do get some successful growing started definitely start researching ways to become self-supporting as far as future inoculations.

I bumping this even though its already fallen pages back. I want to man up and admit that i was jumping the gun. **********.com did not rip me off. I believe they sent me liquid culture.
while there isn't much visual growth yet, most of my jars smell strongly of mushrooms on day ten. (and the less or unproductive smell like vermiculite.)
you really can't believe everything( anything ) on the internet. If i shop there again i would use more cc per jar. you get what you pay for.

2cc per jar? Half pint jars?
Too much in my opinion. You set the jars water content before you load them into the pressure cooker, 2CC I guess I've done that before or maybe even more, but I think you should be shooting for about 1CC per jar.
All it takes is a couple drops really per injection point, from my experience. You'd rather have your jars too dry than too wet.

thanks for the advice I am definitely listening. mostly used 1cc or less but i hit a couple too hard. Part of the reason I was confused was because it seemed like there was hardly any germination time followed by slow growth. I think the ones i hit too hard are the ones with the best growth. thats why i believe that it was mycelium culture, but i made the substrate for spores. Also, I should have been sleeping instead of trolling the internet. lol

It would be obvious if it was liquid culture....It would be foggy white. Plus if you are in the states there is NO WAY it would be liquid culture, it would be illegal to sell..
-------------------- The mushrooms, which grow only during the season of torrential rains, awaken the forces of creation and produce an experience of spiritual abundance, of an astonishing, inexhaustible constitution of forms that identifies them with fertility and makes them a mediation, a means of communion, of communication between man and the natural world of which they are the metaphysical flesh.

I am sure that no one on or affiliated with this message board would ever cultivate mycelium past its vegetative state in any countries that forbid it, and that all photos are file images for dramatic effect.

As if somehow cultivating the mycelium is legal?

even if its just a slide, even if its just a drop. people get busted for residue in baggies or the smallest microscopic amount of powders. quantity matters to a degree, but only when it comes to sentencing.
spores aren't illegal because they don't contain any illegal substance. psilocybin is illegal and spores do not contain it. myc (although in smaller amounts compared to fruits) does contain it. this means myc is illegal. the only instance i believe this would be an exception is if you are in florida and pick mushrooms from the wild (anybody please correct me if that has been reversed!) or you live in a country where psilocybin and all of the other active alkaloids are not regulated.
long story short... a reputable dealer did not send you LC. and if a website did send you LC something super-fishy and dangerous is going on there.
