addictive personality

Why do I love drugs so much? I find them so interesting and fun. Yet I hate that I love them so much. How can I love them, yet hate them?
For those of you that are good at moderation how do you do it? Do you just not have an addictive personality?
How can I become better at disciplining myself?

I really don't think its something you can help by too much. Maturity, genetics and mental disorders are huge factors and you cant control. I guess the best thing you can do is try and be strong and use responsibly.

I'm not addicted. I used to smoke pot all day everyday. I stopped because I don't like the lack of motivation and memory loss. I used to drink a lot too but stopped because I don't like feeling like shit everyday.
The drug only drug I use now is LSD and occasionally MDMA.
I love LSD. I abused it for like a month but then I stopped. People kept telling me I was gonna go insane so it started messing with my head. I completely stopped.
I used to sell so I always had a good supply. I no longer sell because I just abuse it. I still want to use LSD because I feel like LSD can have a very positive impact on someones life if the drug is respected and used carefully. But its so hard to find so I want to pick up a lot next time I find it. I just need to figure out some kind of system so I don't abuse it.
But somehow I always rationalize the situation and tell myself its ok and do it anyway. Maybe I should just stick to only getting enough for each time I find it so I don't abuse it.

Well, the two things that have helped me with moderation are lack of funds and maturity. Lack of funds helped when I was younger.
Just get some hobbies. Focus on doing other things that are entertaining without drugs. Then maybe you won't see drugs as your only source of entertainment.

funny you say you find it hard to not abuse drugs when you have a lot.
i find that the more drugs i have the less i want to do them.
if i dont have a bunch of drugs i buy a small amount and use it quick then buy more because im worried that the drugs will disappear from my grasp.
if i have a bunch of drugs in my closet im not going out and seeking them and im not worried about them disappearing.
as my drug stash grows, my drug use decreases.

Yeah discipline is what I really need. It's the main reason I'm joining the Navy.

And LSD has made me a lot more productive and has made me pick up hobbies. Its made me feel stupid for lacking motivation. I used to be a close minded person and LSD has made me very open minded. It really has had a good impact on my life. It's made me realize life isn't all about drugs. It's been so beneficial for me and thats why I love it.

These are the kind of people that could get addicted to sugar pills... no self control.

Taboo on National Geographic is about addictive personalities tonight
-------------------- Did he dream about dragons? Did he dream about deer? Did he whisper he names of friends who were near? What songs did they play, and how far away? Why did he whisper, why did she scream? What does the sound of a screen door mean? Who talks on the hill? Who goes to the cellar, can you feel the chill? Where does the river, when will the wind? How far are the mountains? Where do they end? Why would the church? Did the service begin? Tell me who died, and tell me who cried. Help me hide in the skin of a deer, my zippered-up bag in the mouth of a stag so swiftly I go through rows of does, it flows, it flows, it flows, it flows all over the hill where the green grass grows.

I think self awareness leads to wanting to experiment with intoxication. Lots of animals eat drink psychoactive substances on purpose.
Watched that on the discovery channel bitches, get my learnin on.
