Money and the Turning of the Age

This guy, Charles Eisenstein, is probably one of my favorite thinkers of this era and I'm surprised how few people actually know about him, especially among the psychedelic community. He wrote an amazing book which is available for free online, located here: http://www.ascentofhumanity.com
This is one of my favorite lectures of his "about the significance of the economic crisis in the evolution of human civilization and consciousness."
Enjoy!

Just finished part II, good on you Remix.

I think I'll be starting on his book tomorrow, I'm shocked i'd never heard of him with my interests. The idea of negative interest and perishable money is really quite brilliant and I do believe it would enforce an entirely new set of spending habits and behaviors -- what worries me is how we'll keep some of the very beneficial and large-scale technologies that we enjoy today in place with more local economies, although we do have instantaneous global communication so as long as we maintain that...
A whole lot to think about here, one of the best and most relevant talks I've seen in recent memory
Any other obscure/awesome thinkers you're keeping in your back pocket?

The only other one I can think of is Ken Wilbur (although he seems to be pretty popular compared to Eisenstein). Other than that I can't think of any in particular.
Check out one of the sites Eisenstein posts essays/articles on, Reality Sandwich. It probably has a bunch of other writers/thinkers that you might find interesting.
