condensation on bulk sub
    #14424244 - 05/09/11 11:50 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I spawned 3 qts WBS to coir about 4 days ago.
I covered the tray in plastic wrap and put a few airholes filtered with micropore tape in it.
There was a lot of condensation forming big drops, so today I changed the cover.
The sub was pretty wet on top.

Yikes!
I soaked up all the large drops and puddles on the surface of the sub by gently blotting with a paper towel.
Is this the right course of action?
I've always been told standing water is the enemy of mycelium.

No sir, it is too early to fan.
Just set it back into colonisation conditions, at least for another week.
It should be okay.

A little condensation is normal (even some droplets), nothing to worry about.
Maybe you should rise the GE a bit.
