After a year of fermenting some hash and drying it, I must say this is some heavy psychedelic smoke.

How's the taste? Ive never heard of fermented hash. Do you worry about getting mold in your lungs?

Taste is almost like candy. It was fermenting with a bit of water in a test tube in a fridge, I totally forgot about it until yesterday. Now that it's dried, it's pure black, almost crystalline shards and powder.
Mold crossed my mind, guess I'm taking my chances with this one. It sure doesn't look moldy though, but what do I know.
It's a pretty intense trip closed eyes. Open eyed it's like a highly energetic and bubbly pot high. Closed eyes, I get morphing, flowering geometric patterns. Not too colourful, but the visions are definitely there. Very enjoyable and clean feeling.

I'm curious as to how the fermentation of the hash gives it hallucinogenic properties.

This thread makes no sense, the trichroms are resin thats what is in hash. Putting it in water and letting it sit their to "ferment" makes zero sense. Fermentation is taking grains that ferment to make certain sugars that are eaten by yeast and then the yeast makes alcohol and CO2. There are other methods of fermentation but I dont think placing hash in water and letting it sit in their cause fermentation.
I think you just had hash in the beginning and hash in the end.

Once upon a time....
Used to be rumors that if your buried your pot, let it mold for a few months, it would get stronger Of course, nonsense but a lot of urban legends abound in this area
Might mellow it... Might condense it... But... Isn't all down to ThC content

they water will help draw out non actives that taste bad and are harsh. I have never heard of anyone water curing hash but water cured weed is very smooth smoke. The weed looks like shit kinda as the green is very faded but the green is harshness.
