Stalled Growth and Mycelium Growing On Cakes

This is the Second flush of these Golden Teacher cakes, they have been in the FC for about a week now and some of the mushrooms that have started growing seem to have stalled. This cake has these two, the cap looks to be breaking away from the stem on the top mushroom and it has only just started to do this. I've never noticed this happen before with my other grows so i'm wondering if thats normal.

The mushroom at the bottom has been that size for a few days now, it might of grown a millimeter in that few days.

All of the cakes are growing more mycelium, on the first flush i was told this is because i wasn't fanning fanning enough. I am now fanning properly and getting even more mycelium growing. Is there another reason i'm growing mycelium and not mushrooms?

Evaporation and FAE are major pinning triggers, if your cakes always look that wet then you aren't fanning enough or misting too much. Mist 2-3 feet away from the cakes with a fine mist into the air over the tub just until there are tiny water droplets on the sides of the FC. Soaking your cakes can cause aborts if they stay wet too long. The one on the bottom of the second pic looks like it is going to abort.

Well I don't agree with enigma about not soaking your cakes as I do that myself... But I do agree with the fact that you need to fan a hell of a lot more! your cakes are way too wet and you shouldn't beable to see moisture after you're done fanning

ok thanks for the help. i have been fanning and misting a minimum of 3 times a day up to 5 times a day. does this sound like a good plan. keep misting 3 times a day but from much higher above the FC and fan 5 times a day. any other recommendations i could do to help save my cakes? there seems to be no growth so i'm wondering if i should pick all aborts and dunk and roll? or just give them a bit longer with the new fan and mist routine? once again thanks for the help.

Well if they're still wet, I'd actually not mist them for a day and just fan 4-5 times. I personally like to pic one up gently for a half second to check the weight. IF it feels real heavy, then I can slow down on misting. If it's very light then I need to mist more.
DONT dunk them again or you're cake will be mush. see if just fanning helps before you pick the fruit. If no change in another day or so then pick the aborts and go back to misting and fanning until 2nd flush. Just remember that fanning to evaporate the water off is your pinning trigger.
