Talk some sense into an anxious person, bros.

So I smoked salvia a few times about 6 months ago. I had my first panic attack a while later, which started my anxiety disorder. Haven't done any drugs since it started, but I feel like if I ever do go back, I'll just stick with weed. At least until I can break my anxiety. But I got this thought into my head that if I ever smoke again... that for some reason it will conflict with my past salvia use and fuck up my brain or something. Like I'm just scared since salvia, like many psychs, isn't exactly well documented... and even if I just want to stick with safer drugs like mj, something will still happen because I already did salvia. For example, I think: what if my salvia use like fucked up my k-opioid receptors... for some reason, and then if I smoke weed it will fuck it up more or something. GODDAMN this is stupid. This shit barely even makes sense but I still came here just so you guys could tell me I'm being retarded.

Salvia is a nasty piece of work isn't it?
>salvia like many psychs isn't exactly well documented
Psychedelics like psilocybin (mushrooms), mescaline and LSD have had extensive research done on them - almost as much as weed. They're completely safe and case no physiological problems.
Salvia merely acts as a K-opioid agonist. Which means it binds to neurons and makes them fire. This doesn't cause any damage because salvia is just mimicking a natural brain chemical called dynorphin. While saliva itself hasn't had much reasearch done on it and the exact mode of subjective effects produced are unknown, Salvinorin A is an opiate and these have been studied extensively.
You are simply over thinking it and that's making your anxious. In fact weed has been known to potentiate anxiety in anxious individuals and cause anxiety attacks. You just need to calm down and realize your brain is fine.
Salvia is a terrible drug and only very, very, very, experienced psychonauts should ever touch it. Even people with extensive DMT experience should be wary of Salvia and should be very well psychologically prepared for the experience.

Yes salvia is a very strange drug. The experience is usually incredibly uncomfortable. You shouldn't use salvia as a basis for all other psychedelics. Their effects are drastically different. Other common psychedelics (shrooms, lsd, dmt) can be beautiful enlightening experiences for many people. It's hard to say the same for salvia in most cases.
As for weed its a preference. People have their drugs of choice.

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense dude. Salvia isn't going to interact with weed 6 months later.
Although I will say that IME if you're having anxiety issues weed can often exacerbate it. It seems counterintuitive because weed usually relaxes you, but sometimes it can do the opposite. This might be more true with heavy use rather than casual use. IDK, just wanted to put that out there.
