overlay?
    #14420485 - 05/08/11 04:54 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I crumbled a few of my pf cakes into trays of WBS and BRF (mostly wbs) and cased them, and kinda forgot about them..I haven't seen such prolific growth of myc. in just three days, and a lot of the myc. has propagated all the way through the casing layer and is forming fuzzy tufts all around. I introduced too the fruiting chamber, are there any other things i should do to maximize fruiting potential?

I'm not, nor can I say for sure that what you have is Trichoderma mycelium growing due to picture quality but I can say this.  Trichoderma mycelium is white before it turns green and sporulates.

doesnt look good ... looks like mold ... why are you using wbs and brf for a sub ?!? that casing isnt gonna amount to anything but some wasted cakes ...

its for sure not mold...definately snow white mushroom myc. but its growing through the casing layer (which is just PCed potting soil)

potting soil could be a composition of tons of different things.

and you dont pressure cook casing layers. you pasteurize them.

you dont seem to know what you are doing.

and i still think thats mold.

I think that's a bit of a stretch to reach that conclusion from that non-pic.

Where's the real pic? We'll tell you for sure.
