white fuzz
    #14420373 - 05/08/11 04:22 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

Hey guys: Yes this is my first grow and yes I am a little paranoid over the white fuzz I am starting to see on my cakes. From reviewing the archives on this is it a pretty safe bet to say as long as the white fuzz does NOT change colour all is good?????

Can you post a photo?

Trich can be sometimes be distinguished before sporulation.

The basic answer is yes, but be careful as you might not
be around when it goes bloom.

Well mycelium is white and so is cobweb. Without pics there isnt much anyone would be able to say past that.

I logged on to ask a similar question. I think in your situation its normal to get fuzz on the cakes. However, there is such a fungus that is called cob web mold, it looks similar to the normal fuzz that forms on the mycillum growth.

I found pics of cobweb mold in the search

i would say cobweb is more a off-white color..definitely not the same color as mycelium. A bit darker in contrast with a musty smell.

If its cobweb it will be a off white color and it will spread really fast but everyone is right we do need pics to really have any opinion on what it is
It kinda sounds like maybe you don't have enough FEA so your mycelium is fuzzing up on your cakes but really thats just a guess until we see pics
