Weird sporeless mutant -Golden Teacher- (pics)

Just harvested this weird-ass cluster from a Golden Teacher LC test cake...
It's interesting how the caps have flipped up a small portion on a few of the fruits... no spores ever developed... just empty gills it seems.. and another cake from the same test batch has fruited well, with no mutants...
Here they are on the cake...
 They're VERY dense and heavy...

wonder what potency is like?......

I can't really tell from the picture, but has the veil broken on the main part of the cap? The mushroom may have not matured enough to have produced spores if that's the case.

Yes.. the veil had broken the day before... but it just couldn't open I guess.. the top of the cap had started to split as well.... guess I could have left it another day or 2... just to see what would happen to it...

midgets can give birth to non-midget children.
cloning mutant fruits dont always give flushes of mutants.
try though. why not

I just harvested some Equadorians today that had the same thing. I had changed my misting & fanning process & it happened, so I'm guessing that I may have misted to much or to little, not sure, but will continue to tweek the process. I actually am fanning more, so my first thought is that I'm not misting enough. But upside down shrooms look neat, they just don't produce enough. Notice the size of the stem, compared to the cap. it's an indication of something, I just can't think of what it idicates right now.

Nothing wrong with mutants as far as potency. I fed someone a bunch of them one time and he was laying on my couch for 2 hours wondering if he would ever think the same way again
-------------------- The mushrooms, which grow only during the season of torrential rains, awaken the forces of creation and produce an experience of spiritual abundance, of an astonishing, inexhaustible constitution of forms that identifies them with fertility and makes them a mediation, a means of communion, of communication between man and the natural world of which they are the metaphysical flesh.

Well I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or what... but a couple of days after harvesting from this cake, it got a case of Trichoderma..
anyone think there's any correlation between the flipped caps and other oddities, and the trich showing up soon after harvest?
That large mutant ended up being 1.6g dry...
GF is in Atlantic City... time for a test drive???
