up, down and then flat-line

I find it interesting that the heart monitor at a hospital shows a line going up, down and then when a person dies, the line goes flat.
When I think of that, I think of pleasure and pain. Pleasure is our ups, and pain is our down.
Beyond my illusory life, exists something beyond pain and pleasure. Right now everything seems to be an ebb and flow of pain and pleasure. Beyond that is a mystery.
The flat-line is infinity, where pain and pleasure don't exist at all. I believe that this is Nothing.

I believe the mind is so powerful that whatever you expect to happen after death actually happens. Beyond this I personally believe the Tibetan Book of the Dead.

I also believe that life is simply a preperation for death and that we transcend pain/pleasure while we are alife and exist in infinity

drugs, psychedelics, is life's way to start you on the path to infinity. drugs are extreme and rocky... you have to take drugs first because you are not prepared to experience the reality of transcendence as a "normal" occurence.
life is a journey from physical to spiritual. at first the spiritual things are so reality shattering that we seperate them from "normal reality". the experiences are "weird" and "mystical". right now i am on a path to a more spiritual plane, and i acknowledge you as purely illusory... well not totally. i am not completely ready yet. if i was, i wouldn't even be on this message board.
i have actually not consumed a pyschedelic in over 3 years. i am completely sober. i no longer need psychedelics or mystical states to reach infinity. do you know that your dreaming right now?

Define dreaming. I'm a real person, btw, as are you.

Can't. But if he can't prove I'm dreaming then I don't have to, right?

It's one of those rabbit holes you have to consider carefully before going down.
Everything is based on the shared assumption that everyone else is "real" when is reality it is simply unprovable.

We are most real when we meet reality in our dreams. For example, you see a friend in a dream and then you REALIZE that this is actually your "real" friend in your "dream".
Yesterday I met myself in a dream. I came in the form of my friend. I thought it was just a typical dream but then he said "have you noticed that god is becoming more liminal in your life?" and I had never heard the word liminal before and I had to look it up after I woke up... kinda "weird" eh? By the way it means "reaching a treshold"
Then I looked into his eyes and realized that he was the God form of me - the me that is the reality of dreaming and the dream of reality. Right before I realized this, he said "You didn't know this, but I am actually a spiritual person".
After I realized he was me, he became what I believe is my future self - the person I am destined to become. There was an aura around his eyes and then …his eyes looked like nothing I had ever seen. A mix of incredible suffering and humbleness and godliness… and he said “I am with the lord”
You are a real person but you are also a dream person. Sometimes the dream form of you is more real than reality.

All experiences, therefore everything we consider real is merely a figment of our senses configured inside our brains. I know via the use of thoughts, meditation, psychedelics etc. that my very perception of what is tangible can be altered internally, as opposed to externally. Based on these experiences I personally believe what happens after death is a certain coming into terms with everything you have done in your life and the possibility to increase or decrease your oneness with the great totality that is. It's just how I feel, obviously I have no proof to back up my beliefs.

This is a debate-oriented forum for the discussion of philosophical ideas that can be backed up with some sort of thoughtful logic and reasoning--if you just want to discuss your beliefs without having them challenged, try the Spirituality & Mysticism forum instead.

Oh....and asking why and telling someone they can't express their opinions are debating tactics these days I suppose. Thoughtful logic and reasoning do not equal proof. OP stated his opinion, I rebutted with mine. What meaningful anything have you added to this thread?

Thoughtful logic and reasoning is not the same thing as proof, dude. Almost all philosophical arguments inevitably boil down to what people feel is intuitively true; you won't find proof outside of mathematical theorems and formal logic.
