O(b/s)ama; Who's the real terrorist?

One man's hero is another man's terrorist. Who do you think are the real terrorists on this world stage? The US or the Middle East?

I'm guessing when he refers to slavery, he really means freedom, and when ignorance is brought up, it's implied that it means strength too?

I think everyone who supports the violence on either side, and those who don't believe in the violence but don't stand up and speak their opposition are the true terrorists. Without armies wars could not be fought.
To answer your question op, I think they're both pawns to something much larger and probably both did/do what they think the right thing was. I dislike them both though and think they would both qualify as terrorists.

Its pretty much impossible to answer this question and be wrong or right, which is why I love it!
I tend to kick it pretty neutral, so as you can imagine I'm pretty "Meh" about the whole situation. Is Osama "bad" for being responsible for the deaths of many? Probably. Is Obama "bad" for the same reason? Probably. By the US definition of terrorists, they both fit the description. For you nerds out there, this is why they took character alignment out of D&D eventually, in the "real" world there is no such thing as good and evil. In my mind I like to believe that every action benefits one party while hindering another. Its all about balance man. :feelsbalancedman:

meh, who knows. Its not like Osama just woke up one day in the desert and thought "hey, i think ill plan to kill a bunch of innocents overseas today! that'll be fun" Osama had his reasons. He experienced first hand of how the USA will fund you when their interests are involved, and then just leave you stranded as soon as we were through. He watched as his country was torn to pieces for natural resources, along with civil war.
people make it out to be that osama and terrorists just hate america for no real reason, "they hate our freedom and way of life" pffft, ya alright buddy.
if i was in osama's situation, i would have been pretty fuckin mad too. would i have gone so far as to kill 3,000 innocents? who knows?

lol osama was a political pawn himself. I guarantee he wasn't the soul mastermind behind 9/11. That was collaborate between many people, even if he hadn't been used to the forefront of the group, someone else would have. Almost reminds me of our presidency... puppets, people behind the scenes, poop on chest.

Are you under the impression that Osama is an Afghan? He's from Saudi Arabia. His country went from Bedouin nomads to a country even more obese than America (seriously) and his dad was one of the most successful construction contractors in the whole country. Al Qaeda and all the other Arabs went to Afghanistan as war tourists to get a piece of global jihad.

The motivation behind Sunni extremism IS a hatred of our way of life. They believe that you can use the Islamic law as a literal set of rules to govern today's society, and they thought that 9/11 would be the first step in the fall of America and a return to the 1200s.
To look at the whole thing and just say "oh, well, they did something wrong, we did something wrong, who knows who's right" is doing the right thing for the wrong reasons. Yes, as individual citizens, you and I can do absolutely fuckall to fix any of this, and caring about it is probably a mistake, but it's not because the situation is so unknowable that everybody's morally equivalent.

Unlike what Kid_orgo says that we hate freedom, let him tell us why didn't we attack Sweden, for example.

Osama was the money behind these and other attacks.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is the man you're talking about, that actually put the damn thing together.
