No. They'll ignore that though, don't bother.

Can you back this with documentation?

Wikipedia my friend. Trust me, it's there.
Besides I have read several other places as well. I didn't save a list of websites in anticipation of a debate, however. But I have indeed read or heard about it being in the brain from several other places, including the documentary "The Spirit Molecule."

Omgosh.. whatever happened to real scientific investigation? >.>
Wikipedia actually points out specifically that no amounts of DMT have been found in the human Brain(as of a 2005 study), and that it is strictly speculation that any part of the brain actually even produces DMT.. (though has been found naturally occurring in rat brain)
Quote:
A biochemical mechanism for this was proposed by the medical researcher J. C. Callaway, who suggested in 1988 that DMT might be connected with visual dream phenomena: brain DMT levels would be periodically elevated to induce visual dreaming and possibly other natural states of mind.[97] However, these theories are unlikely as DMT has never been found in the human brain.
- Wikipedia
Better get your 'facts' right ..
What you have heard is theory. There's really nothing to debate here, it's either been found or it hasnt- there is scientific studies showing 'proof', or there isnt.. It's important that we pay attention and understand what it is we are watching/reading, so we arent going around profesing falsified and unsubstantiated claims..
though, when sites like this claim it as fact http://sprott.physics.wisc.edu/pickover/pc/dmt.html it`s hard to know what`s real..
I`d like to see some real studies on this, and I`ll get on finding something here this week.. because it`s completely retarded to speculate about something that has not even been validated as True.. XD

Very well, I was wrong. Seems like you're getting a kick out of proving that, with a subtle hint of insult in your reply :P. I'll have my forum condescension-free, if you please...
And like you said, there are numerous websites that all contradict each other with what they say...so who is to know which ones are right and which ones are wrong?

Okay, so I was patronizing a bit, but when you say something like this-

I can get more then frustrated.. You ask me to trust you, when I clearly asked for some substantial evidence.. It's things like this that not only can get you into trouble, but also the one's you ask into your sphere.. and in the name of Truth (let alone science) we owe it to ourselves to be as acute and accurate as possible.
I too fall short, by all means, in various circumstances, so I apologize for my own ignorance in this instance -edit: thanks for pointing it out(my brass), and also for admitting you were wrong

DMT is naturally occurring in small amounts in rat brain, human cerebrospinal fluid, and other tissues of humans and other mammals.

Science is secondary, direct experience is first. You want facts I suggest you investigate on your own instead of going by the books, which is like believing a blind man that says he can see.

How is it like believing a blind man? The people that created "the books" had valid experiences just like you do.
Do you suggest we dump all prior experience just because it might not be completely accurate? Humanity would still be pounding rocks together if we didn't share knowledge.

Good point, but it's kinda hard to tell from direct experience whether or not I have minute amounts of DMt in my brain. Don't really have the tools or the organic chemistry knowledge to test that...

No problem, and thanks for not being arrogant and boasting like you're the smartest man in the world for proving one point like many people do. I will admit I have not EXTENSIVELY researched DMT content in the human brain, and I have mostly just gone by word of mouth. But I'm willing to bet there are some sources out there that will confirm FOR CERTAIN that there are minute amounts of DMT in the brain. Like you said, who's to trust?
