Newbie Truffle harvest Question

Apologies if this is the wrong area to post such a question, but I'm a noob to this forum. Can someone help me with magic truffle harvesting? For anyone that can help/has an interest, please read on.
I've had some truffles (Psilocybe Tampanensis - I think!) growing for nearly 6 months now, but I can't seem to recognise or find visible growth. Sorry no pics, keeps timing out when I try to add them. will carry on trying though.
Substrate is beige coloured grain in a sealed plastic bag with foam vent. White coloured growth on 35-40%, some small dark patches, but nothing that looks large enough, or hard enough to be mature truffles. Grain has separated into clumps between 5cm to 1 inch in diameter, but easily break up when pressure to them...are these the truffles to be? Am I just being impatient? (6 months though!)
Any help is much appreciated guys. Thanks.

6 months, they're "probably" ready. after a certain amount of time i think sclerotia start to rot in-vitro.
i would save a bag or two so you can do some transfers and make more, unless you only have one bag: in that case i would try some G2G transfers in a glovebox or in a laminar flow hood, then use the rest for whatever.
sometimes sclerotia producing species will only produce metabolites instead of sclerotia, like stall or something, but i don't know
wait for more info from others
