AT: Birds attacked my garden all the time
I had two small pots that was fruiting heavily and one morning this large bird was making a real meal out of both pots. This particular pest killed my garden pots. Thats was two yrs ago and nothing fruity has come back to where I dispursed the remaining substate into my garden bed. Here's the tray pot

I have had a few pop up here and there around my garden nothing gobsmacking but one area seems to do well. Here.

Ive had to lay out bird wire around my garden to stop this black bird with a bright yellow beek rampaging through my garden and leaving me a bloody mess
Il display some pics of my project Ive been working on since the beginning of this season.

Today I did my garden preperation and with a bit of luck good results next yr.
Pine mulch.

These clear containers work reasonably well. Ive got one thats really taken off as in mycelium, its the healthiest out the lot. Ive found Ice cream containers with (lid) works the best. Il post some pics below next post!

Ive covered the containers with a thick clear plastic sheeting. The fogged up humidity has already started. See how we go?

Here are the containers that have worked well. This first container is about 3-4 months old.

Ice cream containers. This ones been doing very well but I have noticed today some moist yellow drops on the mycelium ?

Tranfered 2 myc cakes into this ice cream container yesterday. Ive already noticed new activity in just one day.

All thats really fkn awesome Ummagumma
Your substrate mixes look like woodlover heaven.
The subs that have come up in your garden look different to the ones I've found and grown in WA. Have you taken prints?
The myc growth in the containers is vigorous, are they spawned from stems, myc, spores?
All the best for the season next year.

Thanks Olive, I collected my pine matter a couple of days ago. It was a good excuse aswell to head for the forest atleast one more time this yr. (Yes a Forest addict )
The actives in my garden I would class as Subaeruginosa. As far as Im aware and witnessed some subs look differ to other subs, well thats here in SA. In answer to your question no I have not taken any prints. I normally collect some of the species. That pic was from last yr Il show you another angle view see what you think. Ill show you this yrs pic its much different in appearance and growth.
Last yrs Differ angle.

This yrs growth.

My containers all started with nice stem butts, corrugated cardboard and saw dust.

Hey guys, nice work all round. Good luck for next season Austrip and Ummagumma.
I simply dropped a few kilos of straight pine bark into a dark, damp spot in the yard in June. Added corrugated cardboard covered in sub spores as well as maccas bag from hunting into the centre of the small mound. have been checking the site for growth but haven't even seen any myc in and around the top layer at all.
Today, however, I found growth that has inverted cup-like caps similar colour of sub caps, no gills, no stem, but some blue bruising, seen these cup mushrooms hunting but perhaps some other spores besides sub spores got in there?
I will post a pic and start a new thread, I just thought you guys might be interested after reading this thread.
