Couple questions about proper spawn bag usage.

I was reading the spawn bag tek by blue helix but I was left with a couple of questions. If you see any holes in my ideas please point them out, I won't be insulted, I posted this so I could learn
I will be using medium size 5micron bags without a built in injection site from everything mushrooms
1# The filter patch When I am loading the substrate into the bag do I leave space between the patch and the sub? I assume yes, but should it be 2inches below the patch? 4? 6? Will it expand after pressure cooking?
Also, do I need to cover the filter patch on the outside to prevent it from getting wet? If so then with what? I have read that wet filters are bad, but I know pressure needs a way to escape the bag. If the patch is uncovered in the pc will it just dry out while it cools?
2# Injection site
I ordered bags without a self healing injection site because of cost. I plan to seal the top with a careful tape application, inject through the tape then cover the hole. Does this strategy seem sound?
3# after colonization
I have 2 teks I'm considering. One is the PF style block tek, where the whole block of mycelium goes into a shotgun fc
The other is an idea I read on a post by mycofile. After inoculation I would place the bag in a foil roasting pan so the substrate would be the same shape as the roasting pan, so I could just remove the mycelium from the bag, put it in the pan and case it.
Anybody have a though either way? Or have a different tek i should consider? I need all the advice I can get
4# what to put in?
I figured that since everything will be done in the bag (except fruiting) I would put as nutritious a substrate as possible. Would it be smart to mix wbs (i would pre sterilize the before to minimize risk of contaminants from those evil endospores) dehydrated hpoo, straw, coir, and brf all together? I figure variety is the spice of life and the wider variety of food/nutrients available in the substrate the happier the cubes would be, if you have any ideas on an optimum substrate please make your voice heard
BTW thought I should mention that the bird seed mix I bought has millet, wheat cracked corn, and milo
Thank you for reading and for any rays of enlightenment you decide to send my way

Wow! Something is wrong here? All of your questions are laid out in a clear, concise, organized manner! I cant answer any of them right now, but I do have to say that this is one well constructed post!

whoa
k first
to close your bags, take a syringe, take out the plunger, now stuff it with polyfill zip tie the end of the bag around that, open side up , now when you what to enject something, swap out that syringe for one with liquid, you dont even have to take off the zip ties if you did it right, should be like a sheath,
next time get .3 micron filter, or no filter, since the zip tied syringe acts like one theres many teks around with this method , or even with bottle tops, just use your head and apply
to spawn , spawn to manure, get a bigger bin , and do this, for the sake of life
