Beer...although it's made me sick lately...I prefer imported. American microbrews aren't really that great for me. I have tried too many and not found a standout.

Beer
I was drinking this last night. I love when this stuff comes around for the summer. I prefer dark or red beer, but this stuff is pretty awesome.

Kinda funny that you say that after talking about belgian beer.

I understand what you mean about gimmicks, but how are hops and alcohol not meaningful ingredients in a beer?
I see it as brewers trying new methods out and being innovative.

Anyplace that has a large selection of beer should carry them. Not all do though.

Ya its alright i guess, but i aint to keen on it
Im surprised no one yet was like eww leinekugels, lots of people despise them for some reason. I really like their Sunset Wheat beer, the rest i could leave. Its like fruity pebbles beer, and not like in a wine cooler way, much more subtle than that.
On mothers day i was drinking Raging Bitch a Belgian, and Bitter Woman IPA. The bitter woman was great, the Raging Bitch tasted like robitussin which just aint my thing. Ive come to the conclusion i dont like belgians. Last week i had Pranqster, which probably was the first craft beer i couldnt bring myself to finish, absolutely awful.

Yeah its not my favorite beer in the world, but when you want to drink a lot of beer its better than what i call piss water beer lol. Everyone loves shitty beer around here for some reason. I like gueniss, killians, newcastle and smithwicks. Other than off the shelf beer i like a few local brews. I mostly get beer that is everwhere. I will try local stuff when i am in a pub, but i generally pick up a case of one of those 4.

Shiner and Schlafly are a couple of my favorites- good beers that are decent interpretations of the styles they claim to be (although usually on the "tame" side of the spectrum) and the price is right in my neck of the woods.
I drink a lot less imported beer these days than I used to. There's perfectly good American stuff.
Screw "gimmick" beer!
