Techniques for harvesting spores without removing the cap

I was wondering if there is any common technique that people use to make a spore print without cutting off the cap. I want to do this because I like my mushrooms to look nice haha I know it sounds stupid but I like it that way... I was thinking maybe find a piece of glass with a small round hole in it so the stem can be slipped through and let the cap rest on the glass
What are your suggestions?

If you'r not trying to take a conventional spore print, a sterile swab can be used to swab the gills of caps with when their sporulating to gather spores. Just swab the gills with sterile swab in sterile conditions, placing the swab with the spore sample back into it's original packaging, and packing the sterile swab into a regular zip lock baggy.
Your level of sterile technique is what's going to determine the sterility of the spore sample taken. Inoculate agar with the spore swab to check and if need be, clean healthy myce from contams by making the necessary amount of transfers until a pure, clean culture appears.

I think a swab is your best bet like said above.

I read about somebody putting a ring of tinfoil around the shroom before picking it
it may not be sterile though
i have spores all over some of my tubs when i get lazy and dont pick em before they open up
anything that is in the tub is covered
if you are planning on using these spores on agar then it shouldnt be a problem even if something funky gets on your print

Buddy, when your fruit is dry it looks like any other fucktard fruit. cut it to get a good print. the cap will weight somewhat like 0.0000000000000000001 Oz dry
