horsetail is a great medicine as long as the leaves are less than a 45degree angle, they contain silicon and are great to put in smoothies as a bone tendon and ligament builder, the wild violet greens and flowers are edible and delicious containing lots of vitamins and trace minerals; a great salad base.
so great to see someone posting plants!
love the trilium too!
those morels are beauties!

Wow, those are some absolutely beautiful pictures! I'd love to learn to set up a shot like you can. But I probably don't have the patience.

Is P. squamosus quite common? I've never seen it in England (in the year and a half since I started hunting) but it seems to be cropping up on shroomery.org a fair bit.

I found my first morels ever on Sunday and I cooked them up on Monday for lunch. Only 3 little ones, but I'm hoping i'll find more this week when I get to go.
I also found one of those mushrooms in the last two of your pictures.

those last pics are of dryad saddles - ( common name ) - when cooked or even just cut fresh - the REEEEEk like fresh watermelon rind kinda neat - and their growth is a good signal to the morel's fruiting time

I'm super jealous, and I'm loving the photos.
-------------------- Having lived through an existence close to nature, one accepts the small and simple things as most important in life. Sun, wind, rain and snow. The sounds birds make, smells of fresh wild flowers. Love of all kinds, from friends and family, thy self and our neighbors. Beautiful sunrises to the darkest clouds dancing above in the sky. To forgive, learn, share and express. This is the only thing a man such as myself can ask for. What comes as the result is nothing short of the core of human existence, to truly live free in body and mind.

No Thinker, never tried. They always fruit during morel season, so I never bothered. What's tiaga tea? You're supposed to ID my unknowns, not ask me stuff that I don't know!
