South Australia - ID Request: P - Sub look alike

Habitat:
Grassy / Mossy area, right next to a creek. In amongst a pine plantation.

Gills:
ranging from pale off-whiteish to pale brown (depending on age of specimen). Changed to very strong rust brown hours after being picked.

Stem:
Length: ~4cm most developed specimens.
Diameter: ~4-5 mm
Color: white/grey. bruised brown.
Texture: woody in appearance
Hollow

Cap:
Diameter: ~3cm most developed specimens,
Color: gold to brown,
Texture: Smooth,

Spore print color:
Brown

Bruising:
Brown

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom: The scent / taste kinda reminded me of p. sub, though it's been a whole off-season since I've tasted / smelled p. sub so wasn't entirely sure. All other physical attributes make me certain that they're not p. sub, this became even more obvious a few hours after being picked: and the spores! Fresh in the forest though - these had me going for a bit.

These photos were taken over Easter long weekend in an area that was relatively dry (too dry for p. sub anyway).
