So in the past I have always had trouble with trich, Never managed to make it past the 1st or 2nd flush.
I do Damion 5050 to keep it simple.
What would keep trich away?
I read that raising the pH to 8 would prevent trich. Which product coul I put add to my substrate that would make the pH rise with it being toxic for the mycellium?
Any other tips on how to keep the mean green away? In addition to lots of FAE...

Over look your procedure. Is there anywhere you could be more sterile when knocking up the jars, G2Ging, spawning, cleaning your tubs, etc. After a few flushes it is common for trich to set in. The mycelium loses much of it's vigor afer fruiting and is much weaker than when you are spawning it.

I have never tweeked the PH myself in my grows, but Im sure someone will come along and chime in on that. I believe Limestone helps adjust the PH.

Raising your PH to 8 in an attempt to stop Trich is like saying abstinence is the only way to prevent pregnancy. Trich may not be happy in sub with a PH of 8, but neither will your cubes!

What would keep trich away?
It's either your picking procedure or your dunking procedure. How long do you dunk & where & how?
What's your picking procedure? Gloved hands wiped down w/ iso?

I bleach the shit out of my bathtub to dunk for 4 hours.
I pick with no gloves .... Ill change that
Also, noob question you just made me think of.
When the tub is ready to fruit, I remove the lid and cover it with saran wrap to let the light through. Is this good???

You ever clean up your place? Once you get Trich once the spores are EVERYWHERE. The spores are a risk for all future grows.

Do the glove thing too.
You should cut a large hole in the lid & cover it w/ saran wrap Duct taped/Gorilla taped down on TOP of the lid, NOT under. That'll allow enough light. I do that w/ my tubs & don't ever mist or fan. Just a small fan in the room on 24/7 w/ extremely loose poly in the 1-1/8" holes.
Do you have a picture?
