***Need More Help***First time using gypsum... WBS Tek

Hey guys... Thanks to this awesome community, Im back in the grain game. I got a large pot(8 lbs dry) of WBS thats been soaking overnight. Im about ready for the 20 min "simmer". In the mail today, I found a bag of gypsum. Well, Ive never used it before. Did a quicky SE search and seems like .25 to .5 teaspoon per qt shaken in before PCing is the current accepted method. Anyone wanna chime in before I Fu&$ something up?
***MY NEW QUESTION***
So, I just got done PCing my 1st mycobag for 2hrs. Only thing is I only used enough water for 1hr55min. Needless to say- PC boiled dry. Or almost. I caught it when I saw the steam slow way down. All looks good except for a dime size hole melted into the bag. Can I re-use the WBS or will it get "overcooked" if I PC it again? If I can re-use it, should I adjust the moisture level? Thanks again, guys...

i usually just take a butter knife and put a knife tips worth of gypsum in for each jar... not the most exact method I know but should give you a rough estimate of what you need.

I do at least, I add a tablespoon or so to my soak water, let soak for about 18 hours or so and then bring the pot to a simmer before straining and drying.

I dont rinse after my simmer either. I rinse really good before soak, so the coffee/gypsum is still hanging in there. Plus it does'nt take 2 hrs to dry the grain!

Cool. I thought is was used during the soak, too, but when I searched all I found talked about adding to the jar. Granted, I only read the first 6-8 hits.
I also am trying bags for the first time- well, preparing them for the first time anyhow. I assume where its not an exact science I can just ramp up the amount accordingly...
Thanks folks!
