Can i use fine grade verm for cakes?
    #14399651 - 05/04/11 12:09 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

The cakes ive made successfully in the past were made with medium/coarse grade verm that i purchased online. Recently i purchased verm locally only to discover it was fine grade. Went through the same procedure i always do and 5 days in my inc. later still no sign of myc on any of the jars made with fine grade verm. Anyone have success making cakes with fine grade verm?

I used to use fine grade before I picked up a 40lb bag from my local hydro shop

sometimes you wont see growth for a week or so... keep for another 5 days and see what happens, maybe re-inoculate if you don't see anything after 2 weeks.

I've had that happen with a sponsor here, so you'll end up needing to get them to send a new syringe if no growth shows up... You can let them know the spores were not viable
