Backyard surprise!

I figured finding these in my own backyard was worth making a post to show my fellow shroomerites.I was taking the dogs out back for a piss and found these growing around a tree that recently died.This is my first Morel find!:stirthepot:

I talked to this Californian bloke some two weeks ago, and the subject came to mushroom hunting. He told me morels grow in the little green patch in front of his apartment building in Santa Barbara. I might need to relocate to California sometime.

slice them in half and sautee them in butter. especially the first time just to taste em plain!

dont morels relocate every season due to their short lived mycelium?
and california is nice. it great for a lot of things. but for mushrooms so cal isnt all that awesome. PNW ftw!
