Sorry about not posting this in the contams forum but I am a bit alarmed at the moment and this forum seems to be a lot more active (no pun).
This half gallon ATL#7 (sclerotia) has been sitting since 3/19. I look at them every couple of days or so just to make sure they're OK. This morning I found this:

What could it be? Thanks.
Then there's this one:

It appears to be stones (tan) that are pressed against the glass and new mycelium (white) forming around them. There should be some other opinions following.

I wouldn't think its contam until it changes to another color..thats just me though and what I've learned from my failed attempts..
The fact its nice and white helps with the idea its mycelium.

What? Never pressed your stones against some glass so other people could see!
I second the notion, looks good.

Thanks guys. I am more worried now about the second jar. Out of all my jars this particular G2G has the weirdest stuff going on. If they were the only ones then I think it would be normal. I might have to smell the second jar. The first one has been isolated for the meantime, just in case.
Everyone says that the sclerotia myc will continue to change colors and do other weird shit but I don't see anything totally out of the ordinary, until now.

Doesn't the yellow piss looking color mean that its moisture heavy in the jar? I'm not that experienced so I don't know. That's just the first thought I had when I saw it. Looks a little like myc piss

Thanks for the response. The liquid is totally clear (sweat,if you will) the "yellow" are stones. I'm over it now as I've isolated the two jars until I see the strangeness develop further. I just don't understand why I've never seen it in the (multiple) other jars.

that really white patch looks a little suspect, I would watch it to see if it spreads, could be trich that hasnt sporulated yet. Ive done atl #7s a few times, and never saw anything like that in my jars
just keep an eye on it

Thanks for the response. I have many jars that are just sitting doing natural things and this is the first time I've seen this weirdness ever. I am in agreement with you as to the suspicious nature of this "blob".
If it's contaminated,I want to remove the stones and put the grains outside in a garden bed.
