" fat ass" prob?

how do you solve " fat ass" problem. is there to much humidity? co2 build up?

the prob with fat asses is they are only growing about the size of an overgrown abort. not reaching potencial

How are they being grown? Cakes? Casings? What strain? What substrate? What is your humidity at? Temp?

brf/verm, cakes, ks, temp was 83, dropped to 72 now, hum. 97-100,

also after reading through this forum for about 3 weeks now giving up on cakes switching to rye and casings . experiments going on as we speak.

I say screw rye. Use WBS. After the jars of WBS colonize mix them 2:1 with moist steralized vermiculite and case with 50/50. It gives excellent results.

since i already have myc growing in rye should i mix verm with rye before casing?

WBS=Wild Bird Seed
Rye doesn't need to be mixed with verm. WBS however doesn't hold moisture very well and needs something to hold a little extra moisture.
