What is the relation ship between the afore mentioned. The Dramatic rise, in silver, gold, oil. doesnt really seem related to the dollar index- The index has been around 73-76 for many months, and the others have just risen with out looking back, But other metals have not such as Rhodium have not, has actually fallen. So whats the Deal?

"Relationship" "Aforementioned" "Without"
A result of demand, just because one commodity increases in price doesn't mean that another will. Silver and gold (besides being socially valuable) are very important in the electronics/semiconductor industry. And oil, well, everyone wants oil. Just because one item ascends or falls in price, doesn't mean the other is directly tied. Za economic beast, with its red tape, be too big for one thread to contain

the dollar index is not a reliable measurement for what you are trying to compare. the DXY is measured against a basket of fiat currencies, all of which are also in the process of being devalued. think of it like jumping out of an airplane. in relation to your buddy who jumped out next to you, you are not changing (DXY stays the same). however, the both of you are still plummeting toward the ground (rise in commodities, silver, gold).
