don't grow with roomates, especially drunken partying roomates, blah blah blah.. i'm sure you un derstand you could ALL go to prison, right? i'm sure your going to do it anyway. the issues with closets is airflow and fae. the only way i can think of to deal with that is a fan. leave the door open as much as you can, and change the air in there as you would your sg. don't point the fan directly at it. now, get ready for the you kids really need to be more vague about your living situations.

You could grow Sclerotia/Truffles but with your roommates i wouldn't suggest it without a lock

Yo man, have some respect. I have roommates because it's difficult to live comfortably while trying to maintain a spiritual lifestyle. My roommates have parties because they like to enjoy themselves once in a while and it's not about getting caught by anybody it's about keeping my grow sacred and away from ignorant vibes.
Some of you people always post with so much arrogance it's beyond me. I thank you for your post. I didn't know that growing a medicine that expands your awareness to see the fault of government is illegal; but now I do.

I've successfully used the Martha Tek in a closet that also had no door, using a bed sheet to cover its entrance as I too encountered occasional parties and drunken wanderers. It was one of the best setups I have had prior to moving out. I did not use a fan to blow any air in the closet, followed the Martha Tek to the "T", all appliances inside the closet next to the Martha. However, I now live in an apartment with a closet enclosed by bi-fold doors. Following the Martha Tek to the "T" in this instance only resulted in molds, flies, and soggy cakes. Seeing as how I successfully grew with no problems in my last closet I did not know why I was having problems. I tried external and internal fans, cutting slits in the side of the Martha, as well as fanning and leaving the flaps unzipped in hopes of preventing mold - none of this worked, I messed around with difference setups for a few weeks. Eventually, I took everything down, cleaned it, and re-assembled it atop a small table in my room, outside of the closet, constantly running the ceiling fan and voila From this, I gather that every growing situation is different and there is no harm in trying, just be mindful of your conditions and don't force anything. As a side note, I took the Martha setup down recently due to very consistent apartment showings. I took a small aquarium once used for my scorpion, a $3 12inch airstone, an old air-pump from a Mycodome system I was given as a gift a couple years ago, some perlite, and assembled a small fruiting chamber, covering it with a heavy-duty plastic material I had lying around from another project. It holds about 12 cakes, maybe a little more, fits in my closet and works amazingly - I leave the airpump running 24/7, I don't have to fan or mist and have observed consistent primordial growths on cakes roughly 4-5 days after placing them in the tank. Most if not all grow to full maturity. I realize RR speaks down on airstones, claiming they're made for fish and not mushrooms, but if you can't find a working solution, possibly take this into consideration.
