Quick noob question

I just started pinning probably 3 days ago. Everything is looking great, I notice growth each day. The only thing I am wondering about is where the mushrooms are getting the water to grow from. Does it all come from the cake? Or am I supposed to be misting to give them the water? Thanks for the help

Not true...I don't ever mist my monos...no fanning either.
OP - misting is to keep the perlite damp & your RH up. Your mushrooms are getting their water & nutrients from the cakes.
GH/Martha don't need misting either...

You replace the water in your cakes or bulk (doesn't matter which one) when dunking. Misting is once mushrooms are developed beyond pins is for RH. Misting when initially birthed is to entice evaporating water from the substrate, which is a HUGE pinning trigger.
