Help me identify this mushroom
    #14393847 - 05/03/11 11:03 AM (12 years, 9 months ago)

I found what I believe to be psilocybin semilanceata. The caps are iridescent brown- some are conical and some are umbonate. The stipe is bare. The gills are creamish/light brown color. I found them in a south facing cow pasture- growing in clusters and rings. They were growing in the grass, not on the dung. I am making a spore print- preliminary results are reddish/brown. I found them in Vermont in the Northeast Kingdom- which is a subarctic region. Sorry- no picture available. Does this description bring to mind any poisonous species?

Definitely not them, they don't grow in Canada in May.

What you found sounds a bit like Marasmius oreades. The print would be cream.

Yes, but please, please, please don't eat what you've found without first posting pictures on here.
